Helluva Weekend

I decided to take a little break before I buckle down and finish off my last semester here. I treated myself to some damn good music. The pictures and their captions tell all.

First up was Benny Benassi. This guy's got charm; he kept laughing and smiling at everyone. Of course, I fought the crowd to get right in front of the stage.

Junkie XL spent a lot of time dancing around and on his turntable.

Dave Clark was electrifying. I was kind of bummed that he rarely looked up; I couldn't get a good shot of him.

My beloved Deep Dish. This is when the real screaming and jumping began for the next three hours straight.

I was jumping around, minding my own business because I was in my own world as usual when a foot came my way. I just passed this guy behind me and watched him sail over the crowd. There were four others that came our way. Too bad I had my backpack on.

The clincher? Tiesto. The crowd went wild. I felt really bad for Deep Dish because I love them to death. When Deep Dish were playing before Tiesto got on, everyone was chanting "TIESTO! TIESTO!" Anyhow, Tiesto was amazing as usual. Lots of jumping. Lots of screaming and yelling and shouting and shoving and sweating.

After spending nine hours on my feet and in the air as well, I was aching all over, but it was all good. This day (and night) was incredible.

To all, even if you are not a fan of trance and house, I seriously wish you were there. The energy of the crowd was contagious. I did not understand the presence of bloodshot eyeballs because music alone is the greatest high.

PS's...

Benni Benassi - Who's Your Daddy
Junkie XL - Today
Dave Clark - Chemical Beats
Deep Dish - Future of the Future
DJ Tiesto - Traffic

what's the point of listening to music if the beats get in the way of the lyrics...?

A simple .. "Hey K, I am going to this amazing concert .. want to come?" Would have been appreciated. But seeing how I am halfway across the world, I am going to forgive you. I am going to download the music you posted, put on my headphones, close my eyes and pretend.
