Crap Rap

My apartment looks best when I have a friend staying over. I spend most of the day dusting, washing, scrubbing, and perfuming my place with incense after stocking my bare fridge with nightly snacks and to-go fruits and veggies. I give my friend the utmost freedom to move and rearrange anything she likes. However, the only place I never cease to control is my car, specifically my music.

Friend: Can I play this song?
Me: No.
Friend: Why not? I like it.
Me: It’s ridiculous. Play something else instead.
Friend: But it’s nice.
Me: How can that be nice? It’s anything but that!
Friend: But I’m your guest!
Me: Hiffttt…
Friend: Can I put it on now?
Me: Okay, but just play it once. I can’t believe you listen to that crap.
Friend: No, listen to it! You’ll see…

My friend smiles, claps her hands, and lightly bounces in her seat as the song plays. Meanwhile, I’m driving with an instinctive frown, cringing in disgust at the vulgar lyrics. But oh well, I love my old friend, shitty songs and all.

Crap Rap: Khia - My neck, my back

PS's...
No Doubt - Don't Speak
DJ Shadow - What Does Your Soul Look Like
Bob Dylan - Everybody Must Get Stoned
Lyrics Born - Always Fine Tuning

    whaaat is this..

Things I've never even heard of being done..

I've been waiting for the whole rap/hip hop craze that has exploded lately to die.. sort of like boy bands-- it's not happening.

Temetwir: E7m, shino? Oo kilshay 3indik gay! :P~~~~~

Phelony: Um, what? That doesn't make sense. Why would you be on top of a camel rapping?

Leen: Well, B.I.G. and 2pac is one thing (also Nate Dogg, Dre) but pop rap is crap.

    Sedna: :P~

    temetwir> I agree with you...

    Everything is gay these days!

Erzulie> I do that too! I do that too!! I hate my friends music but I always end up playing it in the car despite my constant and obnoxious protests!

... the things we do for our friends.... :/ :P

I heard that song in one of Alias episodes & I gotta admit, i liked it :D
But it was more of a techno music than rap, but when I wanted to download the song, rap was the only version available!

btw, I'm not that much with rap (at least thats what i think) but you gotta give it a credit. Song like "Hit`em up" by 2pac, "Can I get a" by Jay Z, "Me & my girlfriend" again by 2pac.... I mean these songs are really good :)

Krispy: Heh, yeah I give in after a while. But then I play them something old and rusty for "education reasons" :P

    Temetwir: Okay

Bo_Ghazi: Yeah akeed, 2pac is, well, a king. His lyrics are the standard that people fail to reach. Did you know that 2pac's girlfriend was Jada, as in Will Smith's now-preppy lil' wife! Yup :) 2pac and Jada went to the same high school together. He even has one song called 'Jada' :)

I prefer listening to Marilyn Manson over this let's-shag-all-night song..

urgh, I mean, neither the words nor the music make sense. Or please any sense (i'm just trying to say something that makes sense)
I'm shocked at the increasing number of people who love rap.
But then again, some people mud wrestle.. so, meah..

Krispy: Corporate? Gay? I see Temetwir's comments catch on quick :P And yup, it is the lick my neck/back song. Something about it makes me blush :]

Scarlo: Marilyn Manson was an amusing (and rather surprising) character pre-Goth-white-contacts. Actually, the song does make sense; it's an in-your-face command to stimulate the senses, so to speak, if that makes any sense :P
Mud wrestling? Well, it depends on your opponent. I wouldn't mind getting in the ring facing Antonio Sabato Jr., to say the least >:D

I've seen this happen so many times. Some people like the music, others hate it.

"My neck, my back, I'm ugly and I sound like crap!"

    RECS:
    1. Alanis Morissette - "One"
    2. Fuel - "Innocent"
    3. Beth Orton - "Daybreaker"
    4. Shivaree - "Goodnight Moon"
    5. Silverchair - "My Favourite Thing"

Yes, I always like to keep them in groups of five.

    Windwalker: Okay...

Hug: Thing is, I don't like the bold look. I wanted to make the font a bit bigger, but I didn't design my blog and I would hate to get it in there and mess it up. Bes inshallah the person who helped me out with the design isn't so busy so he can help me fix it up soon :)

3baid: Wallah shoof, fee rap songs that make me slap my radio. But there are others, the classics in my opinion, that are really good, and I don't consider myself a hardcore rap fan :)

Fedo: Haha :P I love Alanis but I find myself going back to her "Jagged Little Pill" album. I love Orton, kinda sounds like Sarah MacLachlan with an edge. And I love "I Miss U Love" & "Ana's Song" (acoustic) by Silverchair :)
